If you prefer a tidy inbox, and you’d like to delete messages that are no longer relevant, then simply follow these steps: 

Step 1: Declining the swap  

Before you can delete an old swap request message from your inbox, you will need to decline it first. To do this, select the discussion and click the 'Decline swap' button which is beneath the text box. Don’t forget to write a personal message to let the other member know why you are declining their swap request. 

If it has been a while since you last contacted the member, you might want to take inspiration from many of our members who write, 'Just clearing out my inbox.' 

Step 2: Deleting the message  

Once a swap request has been declined, you will be presented with a red ‘Delete’ button at the top of your discussion thread as illustrated in the image below. Click this button, and the message will be moved from your ‘Inbox’ into your ‘Deleted’ folder.
