Home swapping is a trust-based arrangement between likeminded travel-lovers, and problems between Love Home Swap members are incredibly rare. We’ve got a reputation for being a really friendly community! However, if a situation does occur, it’s important to know that you are properly covered.

For this reason, it's always a good idea to talk to your home insurer before your home swap, to make sure you're covered for the duration of your trip. This will give you a chance to take out any extra cover, should you need it.  

We also recommend taking out travel insurance for the duration of your trip and speaking to your travel insurance provider to ensure home swapping is covered in your policy.
