Points Swaps are trips paid for using Points (our virtual ‘currency’). They are a more flexible alternative to the traditional home swapping scenario, as instead of finding someone whose dates and travel plans match up with yours, you can trade Points. Points are earned when you let another member stay in your home. You can then spend these Points on another member’s home - whenever and wherever you like.  

You can search for homes that are available for a Points Swap by selecting Points Swap from the drop-down box on the search page. 

Members set a nightly Points rate for their property which is displayed on their listing in the right-hand corner of the property card on the search results page. Once you click on the property listing, you can also see the Points rate in the bottom right-hand corner of their property images (see below).

Once you’ve found a home you love, simply send a request to the relevant member, just as you would with a regular Classic Swap. Once you’ve had a chat and the host has agreed to the trip, you can book their home!  

Our system will automatically calculate how many Points you need to send to your host, based on their Points value. You will need enough Points in your balance before this can happen, though you can also earn additional Points. Click here to find out how!
